After an exciting day of matches involving the ten participating teams of Hungarian and regional clients of Prologis, NCR won the first annual Prologis Budapest Football Games cup, Ringier finished second and Fiege Hegyeshalom came third.

Prologis opened its first recreational and sports area in Budapest a year ago as part of its commitment to environmental stewardship and customer relations. This year’s Prologis Budapest Football Games is the first in a series of annual sport events organized by Prologis’ Hungarian team.

“We are very proud of the success of our first annual football tournament, held in the Green Path in Prologis Park Budapest-Harbor,” – said Laszlo Kemenes, vice president and country manager, Prologis Hungary & Romania “. Prologis is deeply committed to personal, professional client relations, and on this exceptional day we put this commitment into practice on the football field instead of our offices and meeting rooms. We are dedicated to promote healthy lifestyles and sustainability on many levels, and this one was especially enjoyable.”

As well as the football field, the Green Path area includes a barbecue area for company events and other leisure activities and community gardens for the customers on the park. The recreational area is located in Prologis Park Budapest-Harbor next to the sustainable wastewater treatment facility, which produces irrigation water for the park.

Prologis Park Budapest-Harbor comprises eleven buildings, totalling more than 132,000 square metres of distribution space. The park is located in District 22, on the southern border of Budapest, 12 kilometres south of the central business district, between the motorways N6 and M6, and only 2.5 kilometres from the M0 ring road with direct access to the airport.

With a regional portfolio totalling more than 3.7 million square metres, Prologis is the leading provider of distribution facilities in Central & Eastern Europe (as of June 30, 2014).
