Location and transport

Győr lies about 120 km west of Budapest, roughly 120 km from Vienna and 80 km from Bratislava, all on motorways. The M1 passes the city's southern edge, and the M85 expressway leads west towards Sopron. The Budapest–Vienna railway runs through the city, and the Győr-Gönyű port on the Danube offers inland shipping. Few Hungarian cities combine road, rail and water this closely.

The main logistics zone is the industrial park on the eastern side of the city, next to the Audi Hungaria plant and about 5 km from the M1. Here stand CTPark Arrabona, on Hűtőház utca, and VGP Park Győr Béta, both large new Class A developments. Intertranscoop, on Hűtőház utca and Puskás Tivadar utca, is one of the city's major industrial and logistics sites, combining warehousing with services.

What the market offers

  • New big-box parks: about 50 000–70 000 m² each, with 10–12 m clear heights, dock doors and ESFR sprinklers; some are ESG-certified.
  • Automotive logistics: several landlords offer storage with logistics services for the car industry, for example Hungarian Automotive Logistics on Platánfa utca.
  • Smaller and older units: Class B halls of a few hundred square metres, such as those on Kandó Kálmán utca, and space in the city for urban distribution.
  • Rents: asking rents differ from warehouse to warehouse; each warehouse’s asking rent is shown in the list.

Who it suits

Győr suits suppliers of Audi and other western Hungarian plants, distributors serving Austria and Slovakia, and companies that want a site on the Vienna–Budapest axis without Budapest rents. The labour market is tight, since the car industry employs much of the local workforce: ask landlords about shift buses and how long recent tenants needed to staff up. For comparison, look at Biatorbágy, at the Budapest end of the M1, or Székesfehérvár.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to reach Vienna from Győr?

About an hour and a half by truck on the M1 and the Austrian A4, depending on traffic.

Can I find space next to the Audi plant?

Yes. The industrial park beside the plant holds CTPark Arrabona, VGP Park Győr Béta and several logistics providers, some building to suit.

Are there units with logistics services?

Yes, several. They suit a supplier that wants to keep a buffer stock near a plant without hiring its own warehouse staff. See warehouses with logistics services.
